Global Launch:

Royal Enfield launched the Shotgun 650 for the global markets. The bike will be available by February 2024 in the UK and the European markets with a starting price of 6,699 pounds for the UK and 7,590 for other European Countries like Germany and France.

The motorcycle will also enter the American and the Asia-Pacific (APAC) markets within the 1st half 2024.

Bookings and Market Availablity in India:

The bookings for the Shotgun650 have started in India and will be available for test rides soon while the deliveries for the motorcycle will kick-start from March 2024. Pricing for the Indian market will start from Rs. 3,59,430 (ex-showroom).

From the Concept to Production:

The Shotgun 650 has been inspired by the SG650 Concept, which was revealed at EICMA 2021. The motorcycle was also showcased in Goa at the Motoverse 2023.

Specifications of Shotgun 650:

Based on the 650 Twin platform, this model is based on 650 Twin platforms which complies with a 648cc, parallel twin, 4-stroke, SOHC, air-oil cooled, EFI engine, and produces 46.4hp of max power and 52.3Nm of peak torque. The engine also gets a 6-speed gearbox with a claimed fuel efficiency of 22kmpl.

The new Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 has been incorporated with a steel tubular spine frame having USD forks at the front and twin shocks at the rear. The front wheel has an 18-inch alloy and the rear is engrossed with a 17-inch alloy wheel, which comes with tubeless tyres. Both the front and the rear wheels get disc brakes sizing 320mm for the front wheel and 300mm for the rear wheel while both consist of twin-piston floating callipers. Dual-channel ABS on the motorcycle is also an increased safety feature of the Shotgun650.

The new Shotgun 650 will come in four colour variants- Stencil White, Plasma Blue, Green Drill, and Sheet Metal Grey. The bike is infused with an LED headlamp and taillamp, a semi-digital instrument cluster with a navigation system. The single floating seat provides the motorcycle with a hunky bobber look.

Additional Features of Shotgun 650 :

The motorcycle will also be equipped with the newly launched Royal Enfield Wingman, an in-app feature that enables updates on the vehicle’s live location, fuel and engine oil levels and service reminders, among others.

Royal Enfield will further offer 31 in-house accessories for this motorcycle including bar end mirrors, a sculpted solo seat and contrast-cut billet rims.
