Guardiola was without Erling Haaland, Jeremy Doku, and Kevin De Bruyne tonight as they continue to recover from their injuries, while Ruben Dias was also missing due to illness.

Everton were full of intensity and their pressing forced a Rodri error which led to Jack Harrison giving the toffees a first-half lead. But City came out all guns blazing in the second half, and goals from Phil Foden, Julian Alvarez (penalty), and Bernardo Silva gave them a much-needed Premier League victory.
