Brief about “Les Propheties”- Nostradamus’s Infamous Book:

In the 16th Century, The French astrologer, Michel de Nostradame better known as Nostradamus published his book Les Propheties in 1555 AD. The book consists of 942 forecasts that materialize the prediction of the future. Being interpreted in several languages yet his forecasts are considered to be a topic of debate throughout the world. The book has been written in cryptic poems or quatrains and the depiction of his book allows the reader to re-interpret its writing, matching the historical events. Thus raising the complications and difficulty in evaluation regarding the accuracy of the book and his work. Yet as per reports, more than 70 percent of his prophecies have come true so far.

Famous Predictions of the Past:

It is believed that historical events like the Great Fire of London, the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the rise of Adolf Hitler, and the COVID pandemic were already predicted by Nostradamus while he wrote the book. These historical occurrences coinciding with the para-phrases in his work have left an impeccable mark on our speculations.

Nostradamus’s Major Predictions for 2024:

1. Climatic Disaster :

Nostradamus, in his book, has predicted that, in 2024 the world will witness climate chaos. “The dry earth will grow more parched,” he predicts in one quatrain, “and there will be great floods”.

The French Astrologer also warns of “very great famine through pestiferous wave”, potentially referring to tsunamis destroying agriculture with the rise in starvation and an increase in disease to take place. In the past, we have already seen such destruction and in of future if the predictions turn out to be accurate, we may find ourselves witnessing more destructive climate events in 2024.

2. Naval Confrontation :

In one of his quatrains of the book ‘Les Propheties’ wrote by Nostradamus predicts “combat and naval battle”. He said that the “Red adversary will become pale with fear. Putting the great Ocean in dread”.

Geopolitical Experts believe there lies a chance of confrontation around China with a change in the dynamics of Geopolitics there lies the possibility of starting another cold war between China and the USA. Earlier, China has showcased its brute force several times in regions around the South China Sea and Taiwan, most of them through its naval ships.

3. Royal Tumult :

Nostradamus refers to someone he calls the ‘King of the Isles’, in of of the quatrains of the book, who had a controversial divorce and who is “driven out by force”. His writings also indicate that this King is replaced by “one who will have no mark of a king”.

Mario Reading, the analyst, and author who complied and wrote the book- The Nostradamus Prophecies, said that with ‘King of the Isles’, Nostradamus might be pointing to King Charles III. He might be forced to abdicate due to “persistent attacks on both himself and his second wife.”

4. New young Pope :

One of his predictions implies that due to old age, the Pope will be replaced by a new younger, vigorous Pope. The current Pope, Pope Francis, is facing health issues and he is in his mid-80s.“Through the death of the very old Pontiff. A Roman of good age will be elected,” Nostradamus wrote.

The Astrologer further writes ‘weaken his see’, and that he will be Pope for a long time. Now, the exact meaning of ‘weaken’ can be debatable which can be revealed only with time.

A Reminder For the Readers:

The writings of Nostradamus are skeptical for the authors as written in metaphorical and cryptic form leading to the possibility of getting interpreted in different ways. Hence the writings sometimes can be applied to various occurrences.
