Brief descriptions:
The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi signed a memorandum of settlement with ULFA on 29th of December which will eventually clears the hindrance towards the progress and concretes the development of Assam, a major state in the Northeastern region of India.
Honourable Home Minister, Shri Amit Shah posted, informing that the Government of India and the Government of Assam have signed a MOS with ULFA which is the oldest insurgent group of the state. The insurgent group has agreed to leave the path of violence surrendering all their arms and ammunition and confirms to join the peaceful democratic process of the country according to the law and uphold the integrity of the country.
