India vs Afghanistan T20 series: India takes (1-0) lead in the series

India vs Afghanistan T20 match details:

In the 3-match T-20 series between India and Afghanistan, the 1st match was played yesterday on the 11th of January, which India quite easily won. However, Afganistan’s bowlers did a good job till the middle overs but it was Dube and Rinku Singh ended the match with 15 balls still left and 6 wickets in their hands.

India Vs Afghanistan Toss:

Rohit Sharma the captain of the Indian side won the toss and decided to ball first. His decision seemed right as the dew factor helped Indian batters in the second innings.

Afghanistan- Batting first:

While batting 1st Afgan players were able to put a decent score of 158 on the board in 20 overs losing 5 wickets. Mohammad Navi scoring 42 runs off 27 balls made the highest run on behalf of Afghanistan while Mukesh Kumar and Axar Patel clinched 2 wickets each along with Shivam Dube taking one wicket for the team.

India- chasing the score:

During the chase, Rohit Sharma was dismissed making a duck as he was run out unluckily because his partner Shubman Gill, didn’t hear the call for the run made by his captain. Yet young Indian batters showcased their potential in the very 1st match and Shivam Dube made his 2nd half-century in T-20. He made an incredible 60 runs in just 40 balls and ended the match with a winning shot. Mujeeb Ur Rahman was the only bowler to take 2 wickets while Azmatullah Omarzai grabbed 1.

Overall we can say this was a good match we have seen.
