However, the Brazilian signed a contract extension in October until 2027 and had earlier vowed to continue playing for Los Blancos until returning to his boyhood club Flamengo in the twilight of his career.

However, Real Madrid is not willing to break their wage structure and is ready to offer him €35m (£30m/$38m) annually, which would still make him the highest-paid athlete in the club.
What next for Kylian Mbappe transfer ?
Manchester United are keeping a close watch on the situation and are allegedly willing to fork out £130m ($165m) for the Brazilian. Madrid might be enticed to accept the offer as bringing Mbappe to Santiago Bernabeu would certainly put a dent in their pockets, although his staying at the Parc des Princes has not yet been ruled out.
